An August 24, 2017 Office of Special Counsel advisory opinion on the scope of the Hatch Act. Specifically, counter-protesting against white nationalists does not constitute political activity (i.e., activity directed at the success or failure of a political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan group) for purposes of the Hatch Act.
